Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins have left England’s team and returned to their respective clubs to receive treatment on ongoing issues.
The trio of Premier League stars were all selected for Lee Carsley’s first Three Lions squad ahead of his managerial debut match against Ireland in Dublin on Saturday.
News of injuries to the three stars will come as a shock to club supporters of Man City, Chelsea and Aston Villa where Foden, Palmer and Watkins all play in the English top-flight.
