Fans have been left baffled after Romania star Ianis Hagi wore a netting on his head during his side’s clash with Netherlands.

The Rangers star started once again for the Tricolours, who are currently 1-0 down in the Euro 2024 last-16 clash.

The 25-year-old’s evening got off to an unfortunate start when he collided with Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries in an attempt to win the ball.

Hagi’s head started to bleed after it was struck by Dumfries’ elbow and he recived medical treatment before returning to the pitch wearing a bizarre net.

And fans took to social media to make fun of the midfielder, with some comparing him to school ‘dinner ladies’.

One said: ‘Ianis Hagi wearing a hair net paying his respects to all the dinnerladies that fought & died to save Turkey Twizzlers from Jamie Oliver’s Woke Mob.’

Another wrote: ‘Why they got Hagi looking like he can’t leave Tesco without the alarms going off?!’
