Former porn star Claudia Bavel issues statement after Real Madrid and Spain icon Iker Casillas blasted attempts to 'violate his honour' following Only Fans model's claims over their alleged relationship

Former porn star Claudia Bavel has released a lengthy statement as her row with Real Madrid and Spain legend Iker Casillas rumbles on.

Bavel, 28, who made her X-rated film debut as a teenager and now earns around £17,000 a month from Only Fans, was reportedly spotted on a date with the 2010 World Cup winner recently, and opened up on their alleged relationship in an interview with Spanish TV channel Telecinco programme De Viernes last week.

She claimed 43-year-old Casillas had cold-shouldered her since paparazzi photos of them together in Barcelona were published by glossy Spanish magazine Diez Minutos last week, while refuting speculation she had tipped off photographers.

Casillas, who retired from professional football in August 2020 after suffering a heart attack in training with Porto, reportedly told the magazine the photos were ‘very enlightening’ and ‘spectacular’ but refused to confirm whether he and the model were an item. 

During her television interview, Bavel had declared ‘If you ask me what Iker was like as a lover I would say better as a footballer.’ Casillas hit back on social media earlier this week, and vowed to pursue legal action in response to ‘any violation of my privacy and honour’, declaring he will seek damages.

Bavel has made her own statement, claiming that people are trying to ‘silence’ her to prevent her from telling her side of the story.

‘In light of recent events and the public statements made in recent days, I feel obliged to express the following,’ her statement began.

‘Like anyone else, I have the right to share my experiences and experiences without this implying an attack or violation of the privacy of others. I have always been transparent with my community and with those who follow me, and I have never sought to harm anyone with my words.

‘It’s important to remember that a relationship, of any kind, is a shared experience. Expressing my side of the story is not an invasion of privacy, but rather an exercise of my right to free expression. It has never been my intention to commodify or harm anyone with my statements.

‘I find it surprising that my testimony is being presented as an attack, when I have always shared truthful information that serves as a response to the denial of a romantic relationship. What I have shared is based on real facts that are part of my life and my personal experience.

‘In a world where there is an increasing demand for transparency and where women continue to fight for the right to speak freely without being discredited, it is worrying that there are attempts to silence my voice or present me as a person seeking notoriety at the expense of others.

‘Not everything is worth it when it comes to discrediting someone or imposing a single version of the story. Respect for privacy is essential, but so is respect for the truth and the right of each person to share their perspective without being unfairly singled out.

‘I deeply regret that this situation has escalated in this way and that there is an attempt to turn my story into a question of honour or defamation, when I have simply spoken from my experience. I have not sought conflict or confrontation, but I will not allow my message to be distorted or accused of acting in bad faith. Therefore, and in defence of my right to express myself freely, I reserve the necessary actions to protect my integrity and my reputation against any attempt at disinformation or unfounded attack against me.’

In addition to her TV interview last week, Bavel also claimed in a separate interview that Casillas discussed with her the possibility of becoming a father again. He shares two children, Martin and Lucas, with his ex-wife Sara Carbonero.

Casillas reacted angrily on social media, releasing a statement that read: ‘I have been involved in professional football since I was 14, a career that has given me many joys, perhaps the greatest and the one I am most proud of has been receiving enormous affection and support from the public,’ Casillas said in a statement posted on social media.

‘However, it has also brought with it an interest in aspects of my private life that I have always wanted to keep out of the media spotlight, as they belong to my strictest privacy.

‘Despite this interest, I have NEVER negotiated with my private life, I have not granted any exclusives nor have I profited from what I consider more personal and reserved; what’s more, I have always asked for respect and I have kept myself away from gossip, rumours or speculation.’

Casillas issued his own statement earlier this week claiming attempts had been made to ‘violate his honour’

Casillas continued: ‘It is difficult to accept that, without any consideration, certain people go on programmes to talk about me or my environment. Videos in bad taste are broadcast and anyone, without any knowledge of the matter, feels entitled to make comments, speculations and opinions of any kind about my personal life with absolute disregard, attacking my privacy and honour.

‘NOT EVERYTHING IS WORTH IT, not everything is worth it to gain an audience, not everything is worth it to obtain easy profit or fame as ephemeral as it is undeserved at my expense, at the expense of someone whose “notoriety” is only due to many years of work and perseverance. But, when I repeat, I have tried by all means to protect my privacy.

‘The situation has reached a point where it is unsustainable and I will not allow any more interference in my private life or actions that violate or undermine my honour. 

‘I am doing this for myself and for all those around me, who are directly and seriously affected, as those who carry out these actions without caring at all know and are aware of.’

Bavel has now responded to Casillas’ claims, with the row involving the pair showing no signs of coming to an end any time soon.
