Former Soccer AM star Tubes welcomes baby girl into the world with partner Amy

Former Soccer AM star Tubes has announced that he has become a father for the first time.

Tubes – real name Peter Dale – revealed on the Mail’s podcast Soccer A-Z in September that he and his partner Amy were expecting their first child together.

He took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to confirm that Amy had given birth to a baby girl and confirmed her name in a heartwarming post.

Alongside a photo of his baby daughter, Tubes wrote: ‘Mollie Rose Dale – Welcome to the World. Our hearts have never been so full.’

Back in September, Tubes admitted that he was ‘slightly nervous’ ahead of the birth, but said he ‘can’t wait to be a dad’.

The die-hard Chelsea fan also joked that he would do everything in his power to ensure his child did not go on to support Tottenham.

Tubes shot to fame with his comical appearances on Soccer AM after first joining the programme in 2001.

He went on to appear in the hit show for 21 years before leaving in 2022, one year before it was axed by Sky.

He has retained his popularity over the years and signed up to The Mail’s new podcast at the start of the season that saw him reunite with ex-Soccer AM presenters Tim Lovejoy and Helen Chamberlain.

Tubes has become a major hit on the podcast after bravely speaking about his struggles with alcoholism, as well as recalling some unforgettable moments from Soccer AM – including the show’s infamous Soccerette feature.

A new episode of Soccer A-Z is released every Wednesday, and is available to listeners wherever you get your podcasts, or it can be watched on YouTube.
