Gabriel Magalhaes’ withdrawal from the Brazil squad for their upcoming friendlies against England and Spain is not due to serious injury.
Instead, the 26-year-old Arsenal defender has been removed from the squad as a precautionary measure – Mail Sport understands.
Confirmation of his removal came from the Brazilian FA came on Monday afternoon, with the Brazil manager naming Juventus centre-back Bremer as his replacement
‘I had already communicated previously that we will work with a slightly more extensive list’, Dorival Junior explained.
‘A pre-call — we can put it that way — and again, today, we had another casualty. Unfortunately, Gabriel Magalhães is uncalled. In his place, we are calling Bremer, from Juventus.’
