Goalless Draw at St Andrews as Birmingham and QPR Face Solid Goalkeeping Displays and Scarcity of Scoring Opportunities

Birmingham and QPR struggled for a cutting edge as they fought out a goalless draw in an uneventful game at St Andrews.

Both City’s John Ruddy and the visitors Asmir Begovic both pulled off impressive saves in the second half, but neither side could force a way through and had to settled for a point a piece.

Sam Field’s impressive goal-line clearance from a Steve Cook deflection was the highlight of a drab affair, as the QPR midfielder acrobatically prevented the ball from the crossing the line.

In the end Rangers boss Gareth Ainsworth will be the happier of the new managers, with a point and a clean sheet on the road that sees his side move up to 17th, while Birmingham stay 8th in the table.

Both Birmingham and QPR failed to find a breakthrough in the goalless draw at St Andrews
