Harry Kane is set to give Thomas Tuchel a boost – by returning from injury for the German’s first England squad.
The Bayern Munich striker limped out of his side’s dramatic Champions League clash with Celtic and was sent for a scan after a flare-up of a calf injury.
Mail Sport understands that Kane, who was England captain under Sir Gareth Southgate, is rated as ‘50/50’ to make Bayern’s match with Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend.
However, the 31-year-old is likely to be fit as Tuchel starts his campaign as Three Lions boss with a World Cup qualifying double header against Albania and Latvia at Wembley next month.
Bayern issued a statement in which they disclosed that Kane faced an ‘unspecified’ absence.
‘Harry Kane has to cut back over the coming days,’ they added, stating that a knock to the calf ‘has led to a hematoma’.
Harry Kane is expected to be fit for England’s World Cup qualifiying matches in March despite recent fitness problems

This would give Thomas Tuchel a major boost before the German’s first squad announcement

The 31-year-old striker was replaced at half-time during Bayern Munich’s Champions League clash against Celtic on Tuesday
Kane has been in the wars and also suffered a facial injury before the fixture with Celtic, in which the home side scored a dramatic, injury-time equaliser to progress on aggregate.
Meanwhile, England have confirmed that will face Senegal at Nottingham Forest on June 10 and will take on Wales at Wembley on October 9.
‘The games against Senegal and Wales will present good challenges for us against two very different opponents,’ Tuchel said.
