England captain Harry Kane is in line to earn his 100th cap for the Three Lions when they take on Finland on Tuesday night at Wembley Stadium.
Kane will become the first England man to reach the milestone since Wayne Rooney, who notched up a century of appearances in November 2014.
He will become only the 10th player to reach the landmark in England’s history, with Peter Shilton sitting top of the leaderboard with 125 caps.
The Football Association have confirmed that Kane’s achievement will be celebrated with a unique presentation prior to England’s fixture with Finland.
In a statement, the governing body wrote: ‘The FA will pay tribute before the UEFA Nations League fixture with a special pre-match ceremony that will include the presentation of a gold cap.’

There will also be a pre-match tribute to former Three Lions boss Sven-Goran Eriksson, who passed away aged 76 last month.
Kane made his international debut in March 2015, under Roy Hodgson, and found the net after just 79 seconds.
He has gone on to score a further 65 goals in the following 98 games and is England men’s all-time leading goalscorer.
He surpassed Rooney’s tally of 53 when he found the net via the penalty spot against Italy in March 2023.
Kane was named Three Lions captain under Gareth Southgate prior to the 2018 World Cup, where he was top scorer with six goals.
During his nine years in England colours, the striker has played in five major tournaments, captaining the country to their first two major international finals since 1966.
He has played in more competitive international matches than any England player in history, and when he leads out the side against Finland, they will become the 45th different country he has faced.
Kane is currently 31 years old, but prior to England’s victory over Ireland, he insisted that he wants to lead his country to the 2024 World Cup.

A lot was made of Kane’s performances during Euro 2024 and he was hooked before full-time in the final against Spain, which England lost 2-1.
However, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s landmark 900th goal in the sport, Kane wants to show he can keep playing at the highest international level.
‘Cristiano is just showing this every week, every time he plays, every time he scores, so from my point of view, that’s the aim,’ said Kane. ‘I want to play as long as possible for England.’
‘I’m sure there will be noise around me, like there still is around Cristiano, but as long as you keep performing and keep doing what you know you can, that’s all you can do.’
On the subject of his form, Kane believes he is not the only player who struggled during the summer.
‘There was a lot of talk during the Euros about me and my condition but I felt in good shape,’ insisted Kane.
‘Did the games go as well as I wanted them to? No not really but I think there was a lot of us who fell below par in terms of individual performances.
‘We did extremely well to get to where we got to. I think that was mainly down to our team spirit and the cohesion we had developed over the years.

Kane needs to make 27 more appearances for his country if he is to break Shilton’s record, while he needs 22 more to beat former captain Rooney, who made 120.
