Football fans have hailed an Ipswich Town supporter with a prosthetic leg after he was spotted in the crowd wearing a ‘Juan Leg’ shirt in the stands.

The Ipswich fan was highlighted by Mail Sport reporter Lewis Steele in the stands at Portman Road.

The fan was awaiting Ipswich’s opening match on their return to the Premier League with the Tractor Boys hosting Liverpool in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off.

His shirt drew attention on social media, with supporters hailing the fan’s sense of humour amid his disability.

‘Incredible I have to say,’ Steele wrote on social media.

Several praised the fan on social media, highlighting how the fan had seen the lighter side of his disability. 

‘Massive respect to him for having a brilliant sense of humour,’ one supporter wrote.

‘Just brilliant from this Ipswich Town fan with a prosthetic,’ another said.

‘Best thing I’ve seen today,’ a third added.

The Men in Blazers also praised the fan, writing ‘Already have ourselves Fan of Season Award Nominee’.

The fan watched as Ipswich made their return to the top flight, with the newly promoted Tractor Boys hosting Liverpool in their first Premier League game since 2002.
