Jack Grealish fears that the burglars who raided his home in Cheshire will never be caught, according to a source.
Back in December, the Manchester City star’s £5.6million mansion was hit by thieves who left his property with an estimated £1m in jewellery and watches while he was away at Everton on playing duty.
His long-term partner Sasha Attwood was at home with 10 family members when the break-in occurred, and quickly raised the alarm at the property.
A massive search was initiated involving helicopters and dogs, and according to reports, the burglary gang attempted to raid the mansion one month before the attack but were scared off when they spotted a police car nearby.
Now a source has told the Sun that Grealish is still ‘on edge’ about the situation, with police still yet to make any arrests seven months on.

‘Jack fears they will never be caught,’ they said.
‘This left him absolutely distraught — it impacted him and his family badly.
‘Seven months on and no arrests have been made. Police say they are still investigating it, but there’s a real fear they have fled the country.
‘Jack is worried they’ll never be caught and will do it again.’
Grealish was informed about the raid by City’s head of player support and protocol Manel Estiarte after the final whistle of City’s 3-1 Goodison Park victory on Boxing Day.
Concern was etched on the player’s face as he rushed down the tunnel to the dressing room.
Speaking on the matter for the first time after the match, City manager Guardiola said: ‘The family was inside, it is what it is today, modern days, with many things happening.
‘It was a bad moment for him and his family but fortunately the family was not damaged [harmed].’

His home in Cheshire lies in an affluent area that is thought to have been targeted by a number of professional burglary gangs from Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Chile, according to the Sun.
Grealish is not the only Premier League footballer to have been targeted by raids, with Joelinton, Victor Lindelof and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all suffering similar ordeals in recent years.
‘I can’t begin to explain how devastated I am over the burglary that took place at my home,’ Grealish wrote on Instagram after the event.
‘My family means the world to me and nothing is more important than ensuring their safety.
‘This has been a traumatic experience for all of us, I am just so grateful that nobody was hurt.’

He and childhood sweetheart Attwood are expecting their first child together, with the couple announcing the news earlier in July.
Grealish will be looking to put himself firmly in the plans of Gareth Southgate’s successor – whoever that might prove to be – this season, having missed out on the Three Lions squad for the European Championship this summer.
