Leicester are in the process of completing a £3million deal to sign full-back Woyo Coulibaly from Parma.

Coulibaly, who typically is deployed on the right flank, has made 14 appearances and contributed two assists for the Serie A strugglers this season.

After starting his career in his native France with Le Havre, the 25-year-old joined then second tier Parma in 2021.

During the 2023-24 season, Coulibaly was a key member of Fabio Pecchia’s side that were crowned Serie B champions, marking their return to the top flight following a three-year absence.

At the King Power Stadium Coulibaly is expected to provide competition for one-cap England international James Justin.

Justin has started all but one of the club’s Premier League fixtures this season but has come under increasing fire for his performances in recent weeks.

Leicester currently sit 19th in the Premier League table, have shipped the joint-second most goals in the league.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival at the start of December prompted a short-lived uptick in form, with the Foxes beating West Ham in the Dutchman’s first game in charge before securing a point at home to Brighton.

Since then though the club have suffered five consecutive defeats in the league and find themselves two points from safety on their return to the top flight.

Leicester return to league action when they face Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday.
