The Premier League title race is still well and truly alive as honours were shared at Anfield after Liverpool came back to hold Manchester City to a draw on Sunday afternoon.

After Luis Diaz had an early goal ruled out for offside, John Stones put the visitors ahead in the first-half, clipping in an inswinging corner from Kevin De Bruyne at the near post.

In the second-half, Ederson would bring down Darwin Nunez inside the penalty area in what was a rash challenge on the Uruguayan forward, with the Brazilian injuring himself in the process.

Referee Michael Oliver subsequently awarded a penalty for the foul, with Alexis Mac Allister stepping up to bury the ball into the bottom-left corner of the goal.

The draw means Liverpool have dropped down to second in the table with City going third after Arsenal claimed a dramatic late victory against Brentford earlier on Sunday.
