Nicky Butt has been seen in public for the first time since a police probe was launched into an alleged head-butt at his 50th birthday party.

The Manchester United legend turned 50 on January 21 and held a lunch event at Soho Farmhouse near Great Tew in Oxfordshire three days later.

The meal was attended by the Beckhams, as well as Gary Neville and Paul Scholes and their partners, who all left shortly after the incident is reported to have taken place.

Police are said to be questioning witnesses and looking at CCTV footage from the event, which is reported to have seen a security guard head-butted and left with a suspected broken nose.

Now, 12 days on from the alleged incident, Butt has been spotted strolling through the streets of Cheshire with another of his former United team-mates – Roy Keane.

Butt was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans and white trainers, while wrapping up with a navy blue jumper, body warmer and jacket.

Butt and Keane – a popular figure on the Stick to Football podcast – appeared in a relaxed mood as they chatted between themselves before going their separate ways.

Meanwhile, the police probe is believed to be ongoing into what exactly happened at Soho Farmhouse.

According to The Sun, a group of 30 moved on from a private room to a bar area at the Farmhouse, and the incident is reported to have taken place between 7pm and 8pm when a man left to go to a bar outside and was confronted by the security guard after he was seen urinating against a wall.

It is then reported that the man allegedly snapped and head-butted the guard, with police informed at 9:15pm, two hours after it happened.

The guard is said to have been taken to hospital for treatment, and it is reported that he took time off work to recover.

It is understood that he gave a statement to the police.

The Beckhams are said to have returned home soon after the incident, with the couple owning a £12million estate near by, while the likes of Neville and Butt were driven back to Manchester.

There has been no suggestion that any of the stars named were involved.
