Mikel Arteta to Extend Invitation for Arsenal Players’ Families to Join Mid-Season Training Trip in Dubai, Emphasizing Need for Support Following Liverpool Loss

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has invited families on his team’s pivotal mid-season trip to Dubai on Tuesday.

The Gunners are scheduled to fly to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday for a winter break to Dubai – a trip that the club hope will revive their flagging season.

Arteta’s men have suffered three consecutive losses during a run that has seen them win just one in seven matches.

The sequence has seen Arsenal fall five points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and crash out of the FA Cup following Sunday’s loss to the Merseysiders.

Arteta said on Sunday that his team need ‘love’ as they look to return to winning ways – and the Spaniard has given his players permission to bring loved ones on the trip to Dubai.

The Gunners boss wants his players to unwind during a gruelling first-half of the season that has seen them resume playing Champions League football for the first time since 2017.

The players will undertake a scaled back training regime in Dubai with the trip geared towards players recharging their batteries ahead of the final months of the season.

The Gunners are expected to spend six days away before resuming normal training at London Colney on Wednesday ahead of the clash against Crystal Palace on January 20.

Gabriel Jesus will travel with the squad to Dubai despite suffering a knee injury last week, a problem Mail Sport exclusively revealed on Sunday.
