Alejandro Garnacho’s love for Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United are on full show at his bespoke home gym.
It has emerged that the United star has murals of CR7, Lionel Messi, and himself on the walls of his personal gymnasium.
The 20-year-old is known to be a fan of Ronaldo, who he briefly shared a dressing room with at Old Trafford.
After his acrobatic overhead kick against Everton in 2023, he even whipped out Ronaldo’s ‘Siuuu’ celebration in a nod to his footballing overlord. Even the boots Garnacho wore while scoring his outrageous goal were Nike’s Ronaldo-inspired Vapor 15 Mercurial Dream Speed cleats.
But he was pictured working out next to an imposing facade of Argentina team-mate Messi, leading fans to believe his loyalties are shared.

‘He likes to play like Ronaldo and want to be like him but Messi is a king from where he comes from,’ one guru explained.
‘Two factor authentication,’ one quipped.
But others weren’t having any of it. ‘He’s a Ronaldo fan, nothing like standing on the fence,’ one hit back.
‘We all know who he prefers,’ said another.
Some were quick to mock. ‘Blud thinks plastering pictures of Ronaldo and Messi would suddenly make him a good player,’ one wrote.
On another wall, a giant image of Michael Jordan in his Chicago Bulls pomp is plastered alongside the iconic photo of Muhammad Ali after he beat Sonny Liston in 1965.
But it’s not just photos, as Garnacho has invested in a barbell, weights, bench, and a multi-purpose exercise frame.
Some people are surprised that Garnacho has an affinity with Messi after Rio Ferdinand claimed the Argentina legend unfollowed him on Instagram in 2023.

Reacting to Garnacho’s decision to copy Ronaldo’s celebration at Goodison Park, Rio Ferdinand said on his podcast Vibe with Five: ‘You know what I like about him? He doesn’t give a f***.
‘Garnacho told me that Messi unfollowed him just because he makes no secret of preferring Ronaldo.
‘He comes out, don’t care, “I’m a Ronaldo man”. Who’s the GOAT? Ronaldo. (Even) when he’s in the Argentina squad.’
Fans alleged on social media back in April 2022 that Messi had unfollowed Garnacho on Instagram because he posted a picture of Ronaldo calling the Portuguese star the greatest of all time.
It came just three weeks after Garnacho posted an image of himself alongside Messi, referring to the Argentina captain as an ‘idol’.
Today, Messi does still not follow Garnacho on Instagram despite the Manchester United star following him.
However, Garnacho’s brother, Roberto, hit out at Ferdinand’s allegation.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he said: ‘Fake, Messi never followed him.
‘Stop making stuff up just to create hate, garna (Alejandro Garnacho) loves and admires both of them and you all trying to create a rivalry.’
Ferdinand subsequently back-tracked when responding to Roberto’s post as he said: ‘Was sarcasm bro…’
