The son of Real Madrid legend Marcelo has been handed a new contract by the Spanish giants.

Enzo Alves, 14, is a very promising forward and one of the hottest prospects in the Real academy.

He was already contracted until 2026 but Real have moved to extend that to 2027, the maximum limit permitted for under-age players.

‘Happy to be able to continue in the best club in the world. Hala Madrid,’ Alves wrote in an Instagram post as he posed for pictures alongside his dad, mum Clarice Alves and brother Liam.

Marcelo, 35, is Real’s most decorated player with the left-back winning 25 trophies during his 15 years at the Bernabeu. He now plays for Fluminense back home in Brazil.

Alves is the leading goalscorer for Real’s Cadet B team this season with 17, with the team tied on 71 points with rivals Atletico Madrid at the top of the table.

He is also highly-regarded by the Spain youth set-up and is a regular for their under-15 side. Alves recently scored in a 3-1 win over Scotland in the Pinatar Super Cup.

Although Marcelo played 58 times for Brazil during his illustrious playing career, his son has opted to turn out for Spain at youth level.

Alves was born in September 2009 when Marcelo had started just his third full season at the Santiago Bernabeu. He would spend a further 13 years at the club before leaving in May 2022.

Alves is also known to be clinical in front of goal and has been pictured undertaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark SIU and sleeping celebrations when scoring goals for the youth team.
