Real Madrid’s young Turkish international Arda Guler has suffered yet another injury setback that could rule him out for a month.

The Spanish giants signed Guler from Turkish side Fenerbahce this summer in a deal amounting to £17m.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder is yet to feature in any competition so far for Los Blancos, and was even sent home from pre-season tour in the US with a knee injury.

Guler’s time in the Spanish capital has since been plagued by injury and he is set for more time on the sidelines.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed on Friday Guler will miss Real’s La Liga game against Valencia on the weekend after suffering an injury before the 3-0 win over Braga in the Champions League.

Guler has been dubbed the ‘Turkish Messi’ for his silky ball control and ability to ghost past defenders.

His stock was extremely high when he moved to Spain, Ancelotti retaining the talented youngster will have a strong future and insisting this injury is ‘nothing important.’

The Italian manager insisted: ‘Unfortunately he picked something up ahead of the game against Braga. It didn’t seem like anything serious but it’s still bothering him. It’s nothing important.

‘In the recovery of a meniscus or a knee, you can have muscle problems. Your (Guler) future? It’s the most beautiful. I can understand that it affects you. The future is absolutely not in doubt.’

Ancelotti also revealed an update on England’ star man Jude Bellingham after the midfielder was an unused subsitute during the game on Wednesday.

Ancelotti said Bellingham has since recovered from his shoulder injury and should be fit to start at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
