Revealed: The 'three Premier League clubs Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres wants to join this summer' – and Man United are NOT one of them

Sporting Lisbon’s in-demand striker Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly interested in joining three Premier League clubs this summer.

Gyokeres, 26, is eyeing a return to the UK after previously playing for Brighton, Swansea and Coventry.

The Swedish forward has been in phenomenal form since joining Sporting in 2023, scoring 82 goals in 90 appearances, with many of those coming under current Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.

A reunion with Amorim at Old Trafford has been mooted, but it is understood that Gyokeres is not keen on moving to United.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Gyokeres would prefer a transfer to either Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City.

The report states that it is ‘inevitable’ that Gyokeres will leave Sporting at the end of the season.

United are expected to sign a striker this summer amid Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee's struggles, but it appears unlikely to be Gyokeres

He has a €100m (£84m) release clause, but it is believed that Sporting would accept an offer of €70m (£59m), despite their talisman being contracted to the club until 2028.

A switch to England is not guaranteed, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and PSG potential alternative destinations.

But Gyokeres has made it clear on where he sees his future in a potential blow to United.

Goals have been hard to come by at Old Trafford this season, with Rasmus Hojlund currently on a 19-match drought, while Joshua Zirkzee is still trying to find his feet after his £36.5m move from Bologna last summer.

United are expected to bring in a new striker ahead of next season, but their chances of landing Gyokeres appear to be slim.

Liverpool and Arsenal are also likely to be in the market for a new No9, and they could look to target Gyokeres.

A move to City seems less realistic given that Pep Guardiola’s side currently having Erling Haaland leading the line, who signed a new deal earlier this season to keep him at the club until 2034.
