Roy Keane is adamant that Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana should have been sent off against Liverpool during Sundayās Premier League game at St Maryās.
Lallana was shown a yellow card by refereeĀ Samuel Barrott midway through the first half after an ugly challenge saw his studs make contact with the left ankle of Liverpoolās Ryan Gravenberch.
But Keane felt that Lallana ā who played 178 games for Liverpool between 2014 and 2020 ā got lucky.Ā
When asked during Sky Sportsā half-time coverage if Lallana should have seen red, Keane replied: āOh I think so. Heās not in control. Heās not even looking at the ball.ā
Keane ā who received 13 red cards during his career in English football ā added: āI would have been sent off for it.
āI would have been, 100 per cent, and I probably would have had no complaints.ā
