Liverpool have made an offer for Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot, with the Premier League side having already submitted a first bid to the Eredivisie club for the manager.
According to 1908.nl, the deal has been in the air for some time. Liverpool have already been in discussions with Slot about the conditions and even the composition of the technical staff.
It is still unclear how much Liverpool have offered Feyenoord for Slot, who led his side to the Dutch Cup on Sunday thanks to a 1-0 win over NEC and has his side second in the Eredivisie table with four matches of the season to play.

Feyenoord reject Liverpool’s first bid
According to the news site, the amount is lower than what Feyenoord wishes to receive for the coach. The Rotterdammers reportedly have an asking price of €15 million for Slot and immediately rejected Liverpool’s first offer.
This seems to be far from over as it is expected that Liverpool will soon come to the table with an improved offer.
The general expectation at Liverpool is that Feyenoord will ultimately cooperate in Slot’s departure – partly in view of the fact that the Rotterdam team does not want a dissatisfied head coach.

In the meantime, Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is busy ironing out the last wrinkles of his contract.
The coach himself is eager for this opportunity and so Liverpool and Slot will soon reach a personal agreement.
Slot is now already busy with house hunting and putting together his technical staff. Sipke Hulshoff, among others, will have to follow the 45-year-old to England.
