According to a report, Feyenoord are interested in Hannibal Mejbri from Manchester United.
The 21-year-old midfielder is currently out on loan at Sevilla but is barely playing in southern Spain. Although Sevilla have negotiated a purchase option of €20 million, there is virtually no chance that Mejbri will play in Andalusia next season.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Feyenoord are looking to take advantage of the situation, reigniting their pursuit of Mejbri. Indeed, it is not the first time that Feyenoord have shown interest in the 27-time Tunisia international.
Last summer, the Rotterdam team also had their eye on the attacking midfielder, but a transfer did not materialise. Mejbri wanted to fight for his place in Erik ten Hag’s squad but, despite some promising performances, did not make more than five appearances in the Premier League and two in the Champions League in the first half of the season.

Mejbri to return to Man Utd
A loan to Seville was supposed to provide a solution to his lack of game time in the winter, but Mejbri also barely gets to play in Spain. In fact, barely a week after arriving, he was briefly banished from Sevilla’s squad. To date, the playmaker has only played 89 minutes for Sevilla in four games.
Mejbri appears set to return to Man Utd in the summer where he is only tied down until 2025. His contract situation means that the Red Devils will have to take action: sell him or offer the French-born midfielder a new deal.

Given the fact that Mejbri barely figures in Ten Hag’s plans, a new contract is virtually ruled out. Feyenoord can benefit from this situation this summer. It is no secret that Arne Slot, who may leave for Liverpool, hopes to add several star players to Feyenoord’s selection.
With the arrival of Mejbri, sporting director Dennis te Kloese could certainly provide an injection of quality into midfield, as Mejbri can also play as a right winger. Data from FootballTransfers shows that Mejrbi currently has an Estimated Transfer Value of €4.7m.
The attacking midfielder is certainly affordable for Feyenoord. There is little chance that Man Utd will play hardball given the fact that the attacking midfielder can walk out the door for free in 2025.
