Manchester City’s January transfer spending spree is set to continue, with Pep Guardiola told that he can complete a fourth major signing of the window for a fee in the region of €60-70 million.

City are already the biggest spenders in the Premier League this January, having splashed out over €150 million on three players.

Omar Marmoush is the headline act, having joined the Etihad side in a deal worth €80m from Eintracht Frankfurt, but City have also spent big to attract Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens and Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.

Juma Bah was signed from Real Valladolid for €6m but has been sent on loan to Lens as a replacement for Khusanov. The 18-year-old has been earmarked as one for the future.

Juventus change Cambiaso transfer stance

Guardiola still wants to improve his options immediately and a deal for Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso remains more than a possibility.

Juventus have now indicated that they have performed a U-turn on their stance over the 24-year-old left-back, Gazzetta dello Sport reports. Having been reticent to sell earlier in the window, the Turin giants are now open to allowing the Italy international star to depart if they receive a bid around the €60-70m mark.

As Gazzetta states: “From almost unsellable, the two-footed full-back has found himself to be a potential bargain.”

Juventus’ stance on the player has changed as they see him as a player who can unlock the club’s transfer market. Furthermore, his performances in recent weeks have not been strong.

The report stresses that Cambiaso has not asked to leave the club, either through intermediaries or official channels.

A further stumbling block comes in the form of Juventus finding a replacement, particularly with the Serie A giants’ chase for David Hancko being blocked by Feyenoord’s refusal to sell until the summer.

With the right offer, though, City can land Cambiaso and finish the transfer window with a bang.
