Man Utd outraged by club decision on Antony ahead of Wolves' match against Liverpool

A number of Manchester United supporters have been singing the praises of Pedro Neto of Wolves following his brilliant first-half performance against Liverpool, even saying that the club should have signed the winger over Antony.

The club made the purchase of Antony last season from Ajax for €95 million with a further €5min add-ons – making him the second-most expensive Man Utd player of all time.

Neto arrived at Wolves in 2019 from Lazio for €17.9m, and against the Reds on Saturday he played superbly, creating all sorts of problems for Jurgen Klopp’s men from the flank.

Man Utd have had some trouble bedding in Antony following his move, with the Brazilian not quite living up to his hefty price tag since arriving at Old Trafford.

And after watching Neto against their bitter rivals, they are wondering why the club did not make a play for the 23-year-old instead.
