Man Utd āreach agreementā to loan out Casemiro in late transfer
Manchester United have agreed a loan deal with Flamengo for Casemiro, according to Brazilian media.
The veteran midfielder has seen his importance to Man Utd diminish drastically since the arrival of Ruben Amorim in November. Casemiro was already struggling with the pace of the Premier League prior to the 40-year-oldās appointment and he has now become a forgotten man at Old Trafford.
Indeed, FootballTransfers previously revealed that Amorim was determined to offload Casemiro in January to free up funds for a younger and more dynamic replacement and that the Red Devilsā failure to do so left him annoyed.

The ship to sign a reinforcement has long since sailed, with the English transfer window already closed for a week. However, it appears as though Man Utd could still get Casemiro off the books as clubs in other countries can still do business.

Man Utd āagreeā Casemiro loan
In Casemiroās native Brazil, for example, the window remains open until February 28 and journalist Jorge Nicola claims that a move back home could be on the cards for the 32-year-old.
Flamengo are looking for a midfielder and are thought to be close to agreeing a pre-contract with Arsenal star Jorginho for the summer. The Serie A giants had initially wanted to sign him this winter but the Gunners refused to consider an early sale.

Flamengo are therefore looking for something of a stopgap until the next window and Casemiro has emerged as a possibility, albeit a āvery riskyā one. Nicola claims that Man Utd and the Brazilian side have agreed on a loan but that the latter have yet to make a final decision on whether to proceed.
āI can assure you that Flamengo investigated the playerās situation in the last few days,ā he said in quotes relayed by Bolavip. The English club agree to loan him and help with part of his salary. [Flamengo coach] Filipe Luis would love to count on Casemiro.
āFlamengo understand that, given all the figures, it is a very risky business. Even though United are willing to help with most of the salary, there would still be a very high amount to be paid.ā
