Manchester United have decided to sell Jadon Sancho this summer and hope to receive a fee in the region of €47 million (£40m).

Sancho, 24, spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund following a public bust-up with Erik ten Hag in September, and is now expected to depart permanently this summer.

Dortmund are interested in re-signing the former England international on a permanent deal, but it remains to be seen if they are willing, or indeed able, to match Man Utd’s current asking price.

Despite his impressive form at Dortmund, the Red Devils are 100% set on selling Sancho regardless of who is in charge, according to Fabrizio Romano and BBC Sport.

Ten Hag remains Man Utd’s current manager, although the Dutchman is under huge pressure following an eighth place finish in the Premier League.

However, the ex-Ajax boss guided Man Utd to FA Cup glory last month and with Thomas Tuchel now out of the running, Ten Hag could well remain in charge at Old Trafford.

Roberto De Zerbi and Mauricio Pochettino have also been linked with the Man Utd job, but Ten Hag appears as though he could be handed more time.

Regardless of who is in charge, though, Sancho will be sold.

Sancho was seen as the answer to Man Utd’s right winger problem when he joined the club from Borussia Dortmund, but he struggled to replicate his Bundesliga form in the Premier League, and the Red Devils signed Antony for €95m just one year after purchasing Sancho.

The former Manchester City youth star currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €39m, while his existing Man Utd contract runs until 2026.

Sancho has made 81 appearances for Man Utd since arriving for €85m in 2021, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists.
