Napoli striker Victor Osimhen continues to make transfer headlines, with speculation already raging over where he will play next season.

Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray, but there is expected to be a madcap scramble to sign the Nigeria international hitman in time for the 2025/26 campaign.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are three of the Premier League sides interested in the 26-year-old striker, while Juventus hold a strong interest in taking him from Galatasaray. More bids could arrive, too. PSG made a strong play for Osimhen last summer, for example.

News has emerged from Italy that offers the Premier League sides a major boost in their hopes for landing Osimhen.

Juve seem to have the most concrete interest in the player at this stage, but TMW reports that the release clause in his Napoli contract, which is thought to be around the €75 million mark, will not be valid to Serie A clubs.

This means that a strong contender could effectively be knocked out of the running, with the Bianconeri unlikely to be able to outbid the financial powerhouses of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.

Galatasaray push for permanent Osimhen deal

Galatasaray, meanwhile, are doing everything they can to keep Osimhen on their books. In January, they launched a €65m bid for the player.

Corriere dello Sport (via SpazioNapoli) reports: “In January, Victor decided to stay at Galatasaray and ruled out any possibility of a transfer; in truth, Galatasaray themselves tried to buy him by offering €65m, but Napoli refused.

“The auction will reopen in the summer, with a much more reasonable price than the €120m clause pre-Turkey. And if someone wants him in Italy, well, they will obviously have to sit down and negotiate face-to-face with Napoli.”

Osimhen is not expected to stay at Galatasaray beyond the summer, with the Turkish side’s decision to move for Alvaro Morata seen as a sign that they have given up hope of landing the player on a permanent basis – another good sign for Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd in their hunt for a world-class No.9.
