Van Dijk to PSG? Liverpool star spotted in talks after Champions League clash
Could Virgil van Dijk be on his way to PSG from Liverpool in the summer? The Netherlands star was spotted locked in talks with top officials from the Ligue 1 club following Tuesday’s Champions League clash between the clubs.
A titanic affair was settled on penalties in favour of PSG, who won 1-0 on the night at Anfield thanks to an early goal from Ousmane Dembele, having been defeated by the same scoreline a week earlier at Parc des Princes.

Following the match, Van Dijk had a respectful handshake with visiting boss Luis Enrique on the park, yet it was what happened in the bowels of Anfield that will set tongues wagging.
Van Dijk is a free agent at the end of the season, meaning he can hold transfer talks with any foreign clubs he wishes to arrange a deal for 1 July.
While the tendency is for him to accept a new deal at Liverpool, there has been speculation he could leave for the Saudi Pro League, with the very fact he has yet to commit himself to the Premier League champions elect keeping him on the market.

Van Dijk talks with PSG big wigs
Following the Reds’ Champions League defeat, he was seen in the tunnels of Anfield holding a lengthy discussion with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Luis Campos in footage captured by FootMercato.
Of course, it is impossible that Van Dijk would be seriously talking terms over a move in these circumstances, but there is a possibility that PSG were laying the groundwork for a deal to potentially be done.
The Ligue 1 side are likely to be in the market for an additional centre-back in the summer, and though their transfer policy has been to sign young, promising players, the opportunity to sign a classy performer like Van Dijk on a permanent basis for free is one they could actively explore.
