TRANSFER RUMORS: Real Madrid Contemplates Erling Haaland as Alternative to Kylian Mbappe, Arsenal Eye Real Sociedad Midfielder, Newcastle Advised Against Pursuing Dominic Solanke

Eleven days into the new year and things are heating up in the transfer window, with Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham completing loan deals for Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner.

Far bigger things could be on the horizon in he summer, with Real Madrid reportedly eyeing a move for Erling Haaland should they fail in their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe.

Reports in France on Sunday night indicated Mbappe had agreed to join Real next season, just over 18 months after rejecting a move to LaLiga in favour to remain at the Parc des Princes.

But Real are reportedly growing concerned the 2018 World Cup winner may not leave after all and are ready to turn their attention to Haaland.

Elsewhere, Mikel Arteta has identified Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi as the perfect solution to his midfield conundrum, while Bournemouth are adamant they will not sell Dominic Solanke in January.

Real Madrid are assessing the possibility of signing Erling Haaland amid increasing doubts Kylian Mbappe will leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
