Wayne Rooney has bemused fans by revealing the unique thing he does every night when he goes to bed.
Rooney, who was part of the punditry team for Everton’s huge Premier League win over Liverpool on Wednesday, made the admission while playing FIFA Pro Clubs with streamers Girth N Turf.
‘If I’m in bed on my own, I sleep with the hairdryer on,’ Rooney said on the Twitch stream. I sleep with the hairdryer on the whole night.
‘I have it on cold. On my kids’ lives, I sleep with the hairdryer on and it’s in the bed right next to me blowing on my head. I’ve got two fans next to my bed as well.’
His in-game team-mates including Angry Ginge and Pieface were unsurprisingly shocked by the revelation, joking that his electricity bill must be through the roof and questioning how he hadn’t set his house on fire.

One was also quick to notice the amusing link with his old manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who was known for dishing out the ‘hairdryer treatment’.
The streamer joked: ‘that’s the f***ing PTSD of Fergie shouting at you’.

Ferguson’s dressing-room explosions of rage are the stuff of United legend and Rooney was on the receiving end of his fair share during his nine seasons with the Scot.
Ferguson and Rooney won 12 major trophies together but there were some public clashes along the way with the relationship now branded as ‘awkward’ and ‘non-conversational’ by both sides.
