West Indies finished Day Two on 351/5 of the second Test at Trent Bridge as they recovered from a shaky start to finish in firm control of their own destiny heading into Saturday.
The Windies produced an impressive response to England’s outstanding first day innings at Trent Bridge, with Kavem Hodge the star of the show as he managed 120 runs off 171 balls.
The 31-year-old walked to the crease as No.5 tasked with rescuing the West Indies following a difficult start to the day that saw the top three batsmen dismissed collectively for under 100 runs.
Alick Athanaze also enjoyed a strong performance, falling short of a Test century by 18 runs, while opening batsman Kraigg Brathwaite was caught by Ollie Pope just two short of a half-century.
