The Wrexham player who was involved in a serious car crash earlier this month has shared some horrifying photos of the incident.
Lee was taken to hospital following a collision with another car which occurred after the 1-0 win over Bolton in the Vertu Trophy.
Manager Phil Parkinson revealed the extent of Lee’s injuries on Sunday, saying: ‘he got a bit of trauma in his body, in general, and obviously bruising to his rib cage and some muscle damage there.
And the attacking midfielder, who is the son of Newcastle legend Rob Lee, has taken to social media to share some images of the crash while admitting he is lucky to not have suffered a worse fate.
The front of Lee’s Range Rover can be see destroyed after impacting the barrier on the side of the road.
He wrote: ‘last Tuesday night I found out just how fragile life is and in the blink of an eye, through no fault of your own, it has the potential to change drastically.
‘Thankfully I had someone looking over me, but I’m well aware of how different the outcome could’ve been.

‘It has been overwhelming to see how much people care and the love and support I have around me with my family and friends. It has been a tough week, but I’m feeling very lucky and very grateful.
‘Thank you to the emergency services for all their help and for all the kind messages I have received, it means a lot.
‘And lastly a huge thank you to @kevmulholland @adermmm and my partner for rushing to my aid and spending all night in the hospital with me. Hoping to be back on the pitch asap.’
