Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus enjoyed a snowy training session ahead of their Europa League tie against Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night, but Arsenal will be without three big names for the match.
Jesus was seen taking part in a light training session at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, with the pitch covered in a blanket of snow. The Brazilian forward was joined by his City teammates, including Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva, as they prepared for the first leg of their last-32 tie against Sporting.
City manager Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Jesus can help his side to a positive result in the first leg, with the second leg taking place in Lisbon next week. Jesus has been in good form for City this season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions, and will be looking to add to his tally against Sporting.
However, Arsenal will be without three of their key players for the match. Midfielder Mesut Ozil has been ruled out with a knee injury, while defender Shkodran Mustafi and forward Alexandre Lacazette are both suspended.
The absence of Ozil, Mustafi and Lacazette will be a major blow for Arsenal, who are already without the injured Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Arsenal manager Unai Emery will be hoping that his side can still put in a good performance against Sporting, despite the absence of some of their key players.
The match between City and Sporting is the first of two Europa League ties taking place on Thursday night, with Chelsea also in action against Malmo. Both matches are sure to be exciting affairs, with City and Arsenal looking to take a step closer to the last 16 of the competition.
