Gary Neville and Roy Keane appeared to have been caught up in a Sky Sports blunder on air on Sunday, as the pundits discussed the broadcaster’s record number of Premier League matches next season.

A pre-recorded video was played during Sky Sports post-match analysis of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Newcastle on Sunday.

Neville was heard in the gantry discussing Sky Sports showing a record 215 Premier League matches next season with commentator Peter Drury.

The former Man United defender then took out his phone to call Roy Keane, who was sat in the studio alongside presenter Kelly Cates and fellow pundits Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher.

‘Roy its Gary,’ Neville began, with Keane responding ‘Who is this’ before asking ‘What do you want?’

‘Have you heard about these 215 games next season,’ Neville continued.

‘Games next year, don’t be such a baby,’ Keane replied, referencing his famous outburst at Liverpool defender Andy Robertson last season.

Keane then past the phone onto Richards, who responded to Neville ‘Nev what’s happening its big Meeks.’

‘215 games, come on, that’s more time with me.’

Referencing Richards multiple commitments to different broadcasters, Neville replied ‘How are you going to fit that in with all the stuff you do.’

Neville was finally heard speaking to Carragher about Sky Sports expanded coverage of the top flight next season.

‘There is more games, that’s what you want isn’t it,’ Carragher said, with Neville replying ‘They’ve got more of us.’

Carragher then quipped ‘more money you said’, prompting laughter in the studio.

A member of studio staff could be heard requesting phones to be put away, before presenter Cates went to record a piece to camera.

‘You can watch more Premier League action than every before on Sky Sports with 215 games live next season,’ Cates said.

She then commented ‘wait, have we been live that whole time?’

The promotional clip comes with Sky Sports having struck a four-year deal to show at least 215 matches exclusively, rising from 128 games.

Sky Sports will show at least four matches per week, more than any other broadcaster in the UK.

Their increased coverage will include more than 140 matches played at weekends, evening matches on Fridays and Mondays and full coverage of three midweek match rounds.

Sky Sports will also broadcast all 10 Premier League matches on the final day of each season for the first time.
