'Get him out and he's twice the player': Napoli's mad-cap chairman publicly announces transfer pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho with a jibe at Man United

'Get him out and he's twice the player': Napoli's mad-cap chairman publicly announces transfer pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho with a jibe at Man United

Alejandro Garnacho can be doubly as good if he leaves Manchester United, according to Napoli’s president Aurelio Di Laurentiis.

The Serie A champions are pursuing Garnacho after Di Laurentiis publicly announced their interest – and took a swipe at United.

Garnacho is one of five players frozen out of training by Ruben Amorim because the Portuguese wants him to find a new club.

Napoli had a £40million bid rejected in January and United are thought to be holding out for more than £50m.

‘Garnacho’s got pace, flair and potential,’ Di Laurentiis said. ‘But that’s not even why we want him.

‘We want him because he’s at United. Get him out and he becomes twice the player. There’s a fault at United that I can’t explain.’
