‘God please save water save life’ – Fans lash out at Sachin Tendulkar for wasting water in video uploaded by him on Twitter

Former Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar is once again on the receiving end of criticism from the fans on the social media platform Twitter. The 48-year-old has recently been trolled for expressing his grief on the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Fans were unhappy with him as he didn’t post any tweet to congratulate Virat Kohli for his 71st international century.

Now, he has once again fallen prey to the angst of the fans on Twitter. It all happened after the World Champion batter happened to upload a video on Twitter in which he was instructing the viewers with the tips of cleaning their cricket bats.

Although, there was nothing that much in the video that might trigger anyone but still it didn’t go down well with the few cricket fans. They found the waste of water in the video. It is also quite specific because he had been the brand ambassador for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s campaign for saving water 12 years back in the year 2010.

Speaking about the video, then the right-hander first applied the soap to the grip of the bat and then opened the tap to clean it. ‘Bats & Music a combo for a lifetime,’ reads the caption of the video tweet.

The Master Blaster is currently in action during the ongoing Road Safety World Series 2022. He is captaining the India Legends in the series. The team has started on a winning note after beating South Africa. Late on, the Indians were supposed to face West Indies on the 14th of September which was abandoned without the game of a ball.
