GIRLS GOLF
Frontier Athletic Conference Championship: The Cavaliers had three golfers participate as individuals in the FAC Championship at Buckeye Hills Golf Club in Greenfield on Monday. Morgan Webb placed the highest of her teammates after ending her round with a 92 over 18 holes, and she tied for third place with her score. Ashley Su shot a 107 to tie for eighth place overall, and Addison Smith shot a 115.
After their rounds, both Webb and Smith were named as First Team All-FAC.
Scioto Valley Conference Tri: Zane Trace, Southeastern and Piketon competed in a tri-match at Big Beaver Creek Golf Club in Piketon on Monday. Piketon took first place with a team score of 205, while Zane Trace shot 247 as a team.
For the Redstreaks, Brenna Spencer shot a team-low 47, Maggie Armstrong had a 49, Laila Kelley had a 52 and Riley Wagner shot a 57. For the Pioneers, Mary Helber shot both a team and match-low 43 to earn the match medal. Carly Picklesimer shot a 63, Hope Proehl had a 67, and Fionna Gillow and Kenzie McQuirt tied after each shooting 74. For the Panthers, Maddie Woods shot a 53 and Paisley Welsh shot a 58.
BOYS GOLF
Scioto Valley Conference No. 6 Practice: Huntington, Unioto and Westfall all took part in a practice round at Jaycees Golf Club on Monday ahead of the sixth conference-wide SVC match. Unioto took first place with a team score of 169, Westfall took second with a 188 team score and Huntington placed third with a team score of 227.
For the Shermans, Charlie Lewis and Keegan Snyder tied for the match medal after each shooting a 40. Braxton Wolff shot a 44 and Dane Cutright shot a 45. For the Mustangs, Brendan Biegler and Dalton Bush both tied with a team-low 46, Jacob Hicks had a 47 and Isaac Stevens shot a 49. For the Huntsmen, Tucker Taylor shot a team-best 44, Gavin Smith had a 50, Elisha Howard had a 55 and Isaac Kellough shot a 78.
Zane Trace Quint: The Pioneers took part in a five-team match against Logan Elm, Fairfield Union, Circleville and Amanda-Clearcreek at Pickaway Country Club on Monday. They took fourth place after shooting 192 as a team, which beat out Amanda-Clearcreek by one stroke. Daniel Hughes shot the team-low after ending his round with a 44. Drew Payton and Landen Jarrell both shot a 47, and Grady Stewart rounded out the team score with a 54.
