Harry Maguire is set to leave Manchester United this summer after Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) lined up a £50 million transfer for the England international.
The 27-year-old centre-back has been a key figure for United since his £80 million move from Leicester City in 2019, but his future at Old Trafford is now in doubt.
Reports in France suggest that PSG have made a formal offer for Maguire and are willing to pay up to £50 million for the defender.
The news comes after United had a ‘deal on the table’ for Maguire in January, but the club decided against selling the player at the time.
Maguire has been a regular starter for United this season, making 33 appearances in all competitions. He has been a key figure in the team’s defence, helping them to keep 14 clean sheets in the Premier League.
The defender has also been a regular in the England squad, making 33 appearances for the Three Lions since his debut in 2017.
Maguire’s departure from United would be a major blow for the club, as he has been a key figure in the team’s defence since his arrival.
The club will now have to find a suitable replacement for the defender, with the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Dayot Upamecano being linked with a move to Old Trafford.
It remains to be seen if PSG will be able to agree a deal with United for Maguire, but it looks like the defender could be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
