Houssem Aouar, the Lyon star and former Arsenal target, has snubbed a potential move to Manchester United and agreed a deal to join a new club.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Ligue 1 side for some time, with Arsenal and Manchester United both reportedly interested in signing him.
However, it appears that Aouar has decided to stay in France and has agreed a deal to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The news will come as a blow to Manchester United, who had been hoping to sign the talented midfielder as part of their summer transfer window plans.
Aouar has been a key player for Lyon since breaking into the first team in 2017, and has been a regular starter for the club in the past three seasons.
He has made over 100 appearances for the club, scoring 15 goals and providing 17 assists in all competitions.
The midfielder has also been a regular for the French national team, making his debut in 2018 and going on to make 11 appearances for Les Bleus.
Aouar is a technically gifted midfielder, capable of playing in a variety of positions in the middle of the park.
He is known for his ability to pick out a pass, as well as his dribbling and shooting ability.
He is also a hard-working player, who is willing to put in the effort to help his team both offensively and defensively.
The move to PSG will see Aouar link up with some of the best players in the world, including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria.
It will also give him the chance to compete for major honours, with PSG looking to win the Champions League for the first time in their history.
The move is a major coup for PSG, and it will be interesting to see how Aouar fits into the team and how he develops under the tutelage of manager Thomas Tuchel.
