IND vs ZIM Head-to-Head Records, India’s Head-to-Head Record Against Zimbabwe – India Tour Of Zimbabwe 2022, 1st ODI


India take on Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series ahead of their Asia Cup 2022 campaign later this month. The first ODI will be played on August 18. The 2nd and 3rd ODI will take place on August 20 and 22 respectively. All the matches will take place at Harare Sports Club in Harare.

KL Rahul will be leading the Indian side after Shikhar Dhawan was named the captain after the initial squad was announced. The squad went through a few changes thereafter and Rahul was named as the skipper with Dhawan as his deputy. The Indian skipper is making a comeback to cricket after a gap of over six months. Rahul Tripathi is also a part of the squad. He is likely to make his debut in the series after missing out on the same in the series against Ireland.

Zimbabwe will be led by Regis Chakabva who led the side in the series against Bangladesh. They won both the series by 2-1 margins. In the T20I series, Zimbabwe won the 1st T20I by 17 runs and 3rd T20I by 10 runs but lost the 2nd T20I by 7 wickets. In the ODI series, Zimbabwe won the first two matches by 5 wickets but lost the final ODI by 105 runs. Zimbabwe will be without Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara, Wellington Masakadza and regular captain Craig Ervine when they take on India at home in a three-match ODI series.
