Jamie Vardy hilariously brings a halt to play by blowing the referee's whistle as official is forced off injured on his Premier League debut in Leicester's clash with Southampton

Jamie Vardy gave fans another moment to remember as he suited up for one of his final games for Leicester on Saturday.

Four minutes after the veteran striker had just opened the scoring for the Foxes, referee David Webb went down in the middle of the pitch following a collision with Leicester’s Jordan Ayew.

Webb, who was making his Premier League debut as a referee, was visibly in some pain and had to receive treatment on the ground. But it was none of the other three officials who alerted the physios to the situation.

Instead, Vardy hilariously took the onus to take the referee’s whistle out of his hand while he laid on the floor and blow it to call for help.
