Jon Jones gave an incredibly X-rated response to Francis Ngannou’s Twitter jibe after his UFC 285 win over Dominick Reyes.
The light heavyweight champion was in a celebratory mood after his victory over Reyes, but he was soon brought back down to earth by Ngannou’s tweet.
The Cameroonian heavyweight had tweeted: “You can’t be the GOAT if you don’t fight me.”
Jones was quick to respond, and he did so in a very X-rated manner.
“I’m not the GOAT, I’m the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time),” he tweeted. “And I’m not afraid to fight you, I’m just not interested in your boring ass.”
The tweet was met with a mixed reaction from fans, with some praising Jones for his response and others criticizing him for his language.
However, Jones was unrepentant and later tweeted: “I’m not here to be politically correct, I’m here to be real.”
The exchange between Jones and Ngannou is the latest in a long-running feud between the two fighters.
Ngannou has been calling out Jones for a fight for some time, but the light heavyweight champion has so far resisted the challenge.
Jones has said that he is not interested in fighting Ngannou because he believes the Cameroonian is not a “real” fighter.
Ngannou has responded by accusing Jones of being scared of him and of avoiding the fight.
The feud between the two fighters has been simmering for some time, and it looks set to continue for the foreseeable future.
Jones’ X-rated response to Ngannou’s tweet is unlikely to help matters, but it does show that the light heavyweight champion is not afraid to speak his mind.
