Jude Bellingham has dropped a huge hint that he could be on his way to Liverpool after the Reds’ 7-0 demolition of Manchester United on Sunday.
The 17-year-old Birmingham City midfielder has been linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that the Reds are keen to sign him in the summer.
And after watching Liverpool’s impressive performance against United, Bellingham took to social media to express his admiration for the Reds.
Posting on Instagram, Bellingham wrote: “What a performance from the boys! #YNWA”.
The post has been interpreted by many as a hint that Bellingham could be on his way to Merseyside, with Liverpool fans responding with messages of encouragement.
Bellingham has been one of the most sought-after young players in Europe this season, with a host of top clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund all reportedly interested in signing him.
However, it appears that Liverpool are now in pole position to land the England Under-17 international, with reports suggesting that the Reds are willing to pay up to £30 million for his services.
If Bellingham does move to Anfield, it would be a huge blow to both Manchester City and Real Madrid, who had both been linked with the youngster.
Bellingham has been in impressive form for Birmingham this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.
The teenager has already made history by becoming the youngest ever player to feature for Birmingham, and he could now be set to make history again by becoming the first player born in the 21st century to play for Liverpool.
It remains to be seen whether Bellingham will make the move to Anfield, but it appears that the Reds are in pole position to sign the highly-rated youngster.
