Juventus are set to make an official €70 million bid for Viktor Gyokeres.
That is according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Bianconeri are preparing a massive offer worth around €70m that is expected to be tabled in the next days.
Arsenal appear to have prioritised Benjamin Sesko over Gyokeres, partly due the latter’s higher price, while the player is not too keen on joining United as they are out of the Champions League.
Gyokeres to Juventus?
There is also interest from Saudi Arabia but Gyokeres wants to stay in Europe.
The Bianconeri are in the market for a new number nine to replace the outgoing Dusan Vlahovic, and Gyokeres has now become their primary target.
Fabrizio Romano and Tuttosport have reported that Gyokeres is regarded as a dream signing for the Bianconeri, who are laying the groundwork for an official bid.
Juventus held a meeting with Gyokeres’ agents in London last week through intermediaries. They then had direct calls last weekend.
Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause in his Sporting Lisbon contract.
But there is an internal war going on currently between Gyokeres’ agents and the club over his price tag. Gyokeres’s entourage insist that they were promised the striker would be allowed to leave this summer for around €65m but Sporting are now demanding much more than this.
The final price tag Sporting put up could be decisive in deciding where Gyokeres goes this summer, with Juventus unlikely to be able to afford much more than €70m.

Gyokeres on fire
Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now after having an incredible season, scoring 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions, and leading Sporting to another league title.
This follows on from his brilliant form from last season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.
The attacker has 15 goals in 26 games for the Sweden national team.
