Kamaru Usman is a Nigerian-American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is the current UFC Welterweight Champion, having won the title in 2019. Usman was born in Benin City, Nigeria on May 11, 1987. He moved to the United States at the age of 8 and grew up in Texas.
