Barcelona attacker Lamine Yamal has enjoyed an exceptional few days that were rounded off by a blistering performance against Inter Milan in the Champions League semi-final.
Lamine helped Barca to Copa del Rey glory thanks to an extra-time victory over Real Madrid and was then a pivotal figure on his 100th appearance as the Blaugrana picked up a 3-3 draw against Inter in the final four of the European Cup.
The 17-year-old dragged his side back into the game from 2-0 down with an exceptional solo goal then nearly repeated the feat moments later as he sent an effort against the bar via Yann Sommer’s fingertips. He also hit the woodwork in the second half.
“Last night in the first 45 minutes we witnessed one of the best individual performances of my career,” Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague tweeted.
“I sat in the first row of seats next to the pitch, where Lamine Yamal was attacking. Normally not ideal to watch the game but yesterday the perfect place to follow how he was trying to beat the most solid defence in Europe, which was sitting deep to stop him and surrounded by firstly two and eventually three players.
“And he still made a huge impact.”
Lamine is set to sign a new contract with Barcelona in the summer once he turns 18, but hypothetically, what’s his transfer value?

What is Lamine Yamal’s transfer value?
Lamine Yamal’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) €174.3 million.
This is calculated by FootballTransfers’ unique algorithm, which is calculated primarily using hundreds of in-game data points but also factors such as contract length and long-term potential.
With Lamine’s deal having entered its final 18 months – his contract expires in June 2026 – his valuation is actually being dragged down slightly from its potential figure. His valuation is likely to jump significantly once he signs his new deal, which is just a matter of time.
Indeed, Lamine is likely to become the world’s most valuable football player once this is taken into account. The spot is currently taken by Manchester City’s Erling Haaland on €199.6m – the only player with a bigger ETV than Yamal.
