In the video, he said: ‘Hi Leeds fans, it’s Sean Longstaff here. Over the moon to be here and I can’t wait to get going. See you all at Elland Road. Marching on Together.’

Longstaff follows Sweden left back Gabriel Gudmundsson, Belgium central defender Sebastiaan Bornauw, German forward Lukas Nmecha and versatile Slovenia international Jaka Bijol in making the move to Leeds following the club’s Championship title triumph last season.

Leeds first game back in the Premier League will be at home to Everton on August 18.

It will be the club’s first top-flight match since their relegation in 2023.
