Liverpool have been linked with a shock transfer swap involving Luis Diaz and AC Milan star as the winger struggles to return from injury.
The Reds have been linked with a move for the Colombian international, who has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in October. Diaz has been linked with a move away from his current club, Atletico Nacional, and Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the player.
The Reds are reportedly keen to bring in a new winger to bolster their attacking options, and Diaz has been identified as a potential target. However, the club are said to be unwilling to pay the asking price for the player, and have instead proposed a swap deal involving AC Milan star Suso.
Suso has been linked with a move away from the San Siro in recent weeks, and Liverpool are said to be keen to bring him to Anfield. The Spaniard has been in impressive form for the Rossoneri this season, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 18 Serie A appearances.
The proposed swap deal would see Diaz move to Milan in exchange for Suso, with the Reds hoping to get the better end of the deal. The move would also allow Liverpool to free up some funds to pursue other targets in the transfer window.
The Reds have already made some impressive signings this season, with the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita and Fabinho all joining the club. However, the club are still in need of a winger, and Diaz could be the perfect addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
