Liverpool are reportedly set to thwart Real Madrid’s pursuit of Ryan Gravenberch by offering the Netherlands international a new long-term contract.

The Dutchman has three years remaining on his current deal at Anfield, but the Reds are eager to reward him with improved terms following his fantastic form during the 2024-25 campaign.

Alexander-Arnold to stay! Gakpo drops BOMBSHELL Liverpool transfer hint

Gravenberch was a peripheral figure during his debut season at Liverpool, however Arne Slot quickly moved him into a deep midfield role upon his appointment and the x-year-old has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season.

On Sunday, he helped Liverpool win the English top flight title for just the second time since its rebrand in 1992 and Real Madrid are among the clubs keeping tabs on his situation at Anfield as Los Blancos look to bolster their midfield options after failing to replace Toni Kroos last summer.

However, TBR Football claim that Liverpool have informed Gravenberch’s camp that a new contract offer is set to be submitted shortly, although talks are yet to begin between the two parties.

In addition to Gravenberch, Real Madrid are also hoping to sign Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold and it’s believed that he will move to the Santiago Bernabeu on a Bosman deal this summer, despite the fact that Cody Gakpo hopes he will stay at Anfield.

Ryan Gravenberch wants to join Real Madrid?

Although Liverpool are set to offer Gravenberch a new long-term deal, the Dutchman’s agent, Jose Fortes, recently admitted that he would like to see his client move to Real Madrid at some point in the near future.

“He’s [Gravenberch] good enough for Real Madrid,” Fortes told Marca in early April.

“We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money. I know they have their eye on him, but for now it’s impossible.”

Gravenberch has made 46 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool so far this season, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at a career peak of €85.5m – the highest of any Dutch player in world football.
