Manchester City overcame an early scare to secure all three points and climb back into the top four with victory over Crystal Palace.
Pep Guardiola’s side have struggled to recapture their all-conquering form this season and appeared to be in danger of yet another league defeat when Eberechi Eze opened the scoring after just 8 minutes.
Palace doubled their advantage shortly through Chris Richards and the TV cameras caught an exasperated Guardiola remonstrating with his team at pitchside.
Despite their woes City continue to have a wealth of talent at their disposal and after Kevin De Bruyne brought his side back into the game with a free kick Omar Marmoush drew them level just minutes later.


Mateo Kovacic gave the hosts the lead for the first time shortly after the restart before James McAtee gave City a two-goal cushion.
City were well in control throughout the second half and were rewarded for the dominance with a fifth goal, as academy graduate Nico O’Reilly joined his team-mates on the scoresheet.
