Man City Rejects £6.5M Bid for Defender Seeking Permanent Move

Manchester City have rejected a £6.5million bid from Hoffenheim for young defender Callum Doyle.

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Norwich City in the Championship, has already racked up 158 senior appearances across four loan moves.

Doyle, an aggressive left-footed central half who is strong on the ball, is attracting the attention of a string of clubs in England and Europe.

Udinese are understood to be another monitoring his situation this summer but Bundesliga side Hoffenheim were first to test the waters.

City knocked back the first bid earlier in the month, although a the figures are close to being in line with the price academy stars who do not go on to make first-team appearances have left for.
